Motor (commonly known as “motor “) refers to a kind of electromagnetic device that realizes the conversion or transmission of electric energy according to the law of electromagnetic induction. Its main function is to generate driving torque, as a power source for electrical appliances or various machinery.

The motor mainly includes an electromagnet winding or a distributed stator winding for generating a magnetic field and a rotating armature or rotor and other accessories. Under the action of the rotating magnetic field of the stator winding, the current passes through the armature squirrel cage aluminum frame and is rotated by the action of the magnetic field.
Stator (stationary part)
• Stator core: the part of the motor magnetic circuit on which the stator winding is placed;
• Stator winding: is the motor circuit part, through the three-phase alternating current, produce rotating magnetic field;
• Frame: fixed stator core and front and rear end cover to support the rotor, and play the role of protection, heat dissipation;
Rotor (rotating part)
• Rotor core: as a part of the magnetic circuit of the motor and the rotor winding is placed in the core slot;
• Rotor winding: cutting the stator rotating magnetic field to generate induced electromotive force and current, and form electromagnetic torque to rotate the motor;
1、 DC motor
A DC motor is a rotating motor that converts DC electrical energy into mechanical energy (DC motor) or mechanical energy into DC electrical energy (DC generator). It is a motor that can realize the mutual conversion of direct current energy and mechanical energy. When it runs as a motor, it is a DC motor, which converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. When operating as a generator, it is a DC generator that converts mechanical energy into electrical energy.

The above physical model of the DC motor, the fixed part of the magnet, here called the main pole; The fixed part also has an electric brush. The rotating part has a ring core and a winding around the ring core. (The two small circles are set for the convenience of indicating the direction of the conductor potential or current at that position)

3. One-way asynchronous motor
Asynchronous motor, also known as induction motor, is an AC motor that generates electromagnetic torque by the interaction between the rotating magnetic field of the air gap and the induced current of the rotor winding, so as to realize the conversion of electromechanical energy into mechanical energy.

A permanent magnet motor is an electric motor that uses a permanent magnet to provide a magnetic field. To do work, the motor needs two conditions, one is the presence of a magnetic field, and the other is the presence of a moving current in the magnetic field.
